We believe that all children should have a nurturing environment which promotes a successful early learning experience. K.Z.V. Armenian Preschool is committed to fostering continued growth and development of the “whole child”, which encompasses the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical skills. Krouzian-Zekarian-Vasbouragan Armenian Preschool emphasizes the values of our Armenian culture and heritage through ethnic songs, folkloric dances, prayers and storytelling. Individual differences as well as other cultural values are recognized and appreciated.
K.Z.V. Armenian Preschool’s curriculum is based on active play and Developmentally Appropriate Practices (D.A.P.) with a thematic focus. The daily schedule consists of a good balance of child initiated and teacher directed educational activities. We offer a playful learning environment, which emphasizes the following five developmental learning domains:
Teachers and teacher assistants are bilingual, experienced and have exceeded the Early Childhood Education State requirements. They are trained in pediatric CPR and First Aid. In addition, they continue to update their education by attending classes, workshops and seminars. For more information, please read the KZV Armenian Preschool Parents Handbook |
