Noushig Mikayelian - 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Armenian Language, Armenian History, Armenian Identity

Ms. Mikayelian teaches Armenian Language Arts and Armenia Social Studies to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  She also teaches Music to grades K-5.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Yerevan State Pedagogical University in Armenian language and literature; she also studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory as a classical vocalist. 

In terms of her educational philosophy Ms. Mikayelian says, “Teach the children in a way that you would like to be taught when you were a child.  They’ll love it.”  Outside of school, her hobbies include poetry, acting and singing.  In fact, she is the author of three published poetry volumes “Wait for the Sun”, “Beyond the Winds”, and “More Than This.”  In addition, she is also a professional singer and has also played a main role in an Arabic TV show.  Her favorite thing about KZV is the children.
