Nanor Ekmekjian - 1st-8th Art , 1st & 2nd Grade Armenian Language and Armenian Language art

Mrs. Ekmekjian teaches Art to grades K-8.  She also teaches Armenian language and language arts to first and second graders.  She graduated with a Master of Arts in Art History from San Francisco State University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from the Lebanese American University.  She has been with the KZV faculty since 1998.

In thinking about her educational philosophy she states, “As an art teacher, I try to keep myself out of the work so that it comes solely from the heart and mind of the child.  I never feel that something a child has done is really awful.”  In her spare time she likes spending time with her kids, following politics around the world and going shopping all alone on Saturdays!  Her favorite thing about KZV is the family atmosphere and the safe environment.
