7th and 8th grade students visited the Armenian community in Fresno

As a component of the Armenian Studies program at Krouzian-Zekarian-Vasbouragan Armenian School, the 7th and 8th grade students visited the Armenian community, in Fresno. Mrs Panossian, Ms Demirdjian, and two parents accompanied the students.

The daily trip included visits at the Charley Keyan Armenian Community School, the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, the statue of William Saroyan and David of Sassoon and finally, the tombstone of Soghomon Tehlirian. As they were visiting these places, local Armenians were narrating stories of how Armenians established and organized their community, in Fresno.

Through this trip, our students were able to get exposed to the history they had learned about Armenians in America, during the Armenian Social Studies.
