After School

After School Study Hall

On Wednesdays, afterschool, eager learners meet in the 8th grade class for study hall. The students work in small groups or individually to study for tests and do their homework. Although the work is serious, we also have fun times with our discussions. The students try to help each other with problems, and Mrs. Kostanian is available for short explanations. Students who wish to attend study hall must register at the office. Registered students must be in the 8^th grade class by 3:45 and must leave at 5:00. All K.Z.V. middle school students are welcome to join study hall and raise those grades. If space becomes available in the future 5^th grade students may be invited to join.

Araz Armenian Dance Group

Started three years ago under the umbrella of Hamazkayin Nigol Aghbalian Chapter with 14 dancers, today the dance group comprises of 20 dancers in the age group of 8-12 years old. Araz Dance Group is an after school Armenian Dance Program for our students starting from second grade. The instructor is Mrs. Ani Berberian-Ayanian, who performed for many years with Hamazkayin Dance Group in Beirut, Lebanon.

Araz Dance Group performs during our school Hanteses and participates in multiple events during the year. Major performances are the Armenian Food Festivals and Golden Gate Park Festival celebrating Armenian Independence Day.
