Class of 1990

Armen is a Class of 1990 alumnus. After KZV he was accepted to St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco graduating in 1994. He then went on to attend University of California, Riverside. He graduated with a Bachelors in Applied Math and continued straight on to get his Masters in Economics in 2000.

Growing up Armen played basketball with Homenetmen San Francisco and the Masis Chapter when he was at school in Los Angeles. Also, he played football and golf at SI.

Currently, Armen has taken over running the family business at the iconic establishment, the Submarine Center, in the heart of the West Portal district of San Francisco. He is preserving the family legacy. He finds that serving and interacting with the local community very gratifying. Prior to this, Armen was an Economist at the Milken Institute, a California based think tank. There he produced research and strategies to broaden development and strengthen local regions. His favorite part of KZV was learning about our culture and building lifelong friendships.

Armen is married to Tamar and has two boys. Leo, is an alumni from the Class of 2021 and is a sophomore at St. Ignatius. Eddie is here at KZV and is in 6th grade. He is thrilled that his sons are following in his footsteps and will have gained all the experiences that he received.
