The KZV Armath Engineering Program
In August 2023, KZV Armenian School inaugurated its newly renovated computer lab as an Armath Engineering Laboratory and began offering it as a mandatory class for 5th-8th grade students.
What is Armath?
The Armath Engineering Program is a pioneering educational initiative that has been fostering a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among students aged 10 to 18 since its inception. The program, which began in Armenia approximately a decade ago and has since expanded globally, offers interactive after-school classes, camps, and competitions designed to introduce young minds to the fundamentals of engineering and coding.
In 2024, the importance of such programs cannot be overstated. As we navigate an increasingly digital and technologically advanced world, engineering skills are becoming essential for the next generation. The Armath program stands out by providing hands-on experience and practical knowledge, which are crucial for understanding complex concepts and solving real-world problems.
Why Armath?
Why is it important for students to learn engineering skills in 2024? The answer lies in the future of the job market and the evolving demands of our society. Technological advancements, sustainability efforts, and the need for innovative solutions to global challenges are shaping a world where engineering skills will be invaluable. Students equipped with these skills will be better prepared for a wide range of career opportunities and will possess the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
