Daniel Patashvili

Class of 2002

Daniel is a Class of 2002 alumnus. After KZV Daniel was accepted into Lowell High School in San Francisco. While in his freshman year Daniel took the High School Proficiency Test and in 2004 made the bold decision to transfer to Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. He graduated DVC in 2007. He then continued his education and was accepted to UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Growing up Daniel played hockey and was on a competitive 18U team called the San Francisco Sabercats and Cal Bear's club team. He was also a member of the Speech and Debate teams at DVC and Berkeley.

Upon graduating from Cal he began his career in Mergers and Acquisitions at Visa, and then was an M&A investment banker at JP Morgan where he advised large technology companies in acquisitions. But he had a bug for entrepreneurship. He spent two years building a solar tech energy company in Africa called, Zola Electric, that now provides solar electricity solutions to millions of people across the continent. He chose this path because he was always fascinated with the world of business and loved reading about mega-mergers on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.

Currently, Daniel is an Operating Partner at Enduring Ventures where he buys and invests in small businesses in the US. He partnered with friends to buy and build companies in the US that provide essential services.

What he loved about KZV was learning about the Armenian culture and being surrounded by its traditions that are dear to him given his grandmother is Armenian and he spent a lot of his childhood years with her. He also developed a passion for learning math and a love for numbers in Mrs. Andonian’s math class.

Daniel is married to Lidia. His kids are Alexander, 11 years old, who attended KZV from Blue group to 4th grade, and Anastasia who is 4 years old, and is in the Blue Group. He is very excited for her to get the KZV experience.
