Ilia Borisov

Class of 2005

Ilia is a Class of 2005 alumnus. After graduating from KZV, he moved to Glendale with his family and attended Glendale High School, graduating in 2009. He was accepted to the University of California, Santa Barbara majoring in History. He graduated from UCSB in 2013. In 2021, Ilia graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

Growing up, Ilia was a member of the Glendale Fighting Club where he competed in tournaments as a licensed amateur fighter. He also developed a passion for fitness and obtained a license as a Certified Personal Trainer. Notwithstanding his passion for fitness, he also had a passion for academics. In law school, he was a member of the law review and the trial team. He also became a member of the St. Thomas More Honor Society, which is a distinction reserved for students who were in the top 15% of their class.

Currently, Ilia is a lawyer for a nationally recognized law firm called Wood Smith Henning Berman. He chose this path to make a difference. His occupation allows him to navigate through our country’s legal system to ensure that individuals and businesses in need receive zealous representation. Early on in his legal journey, he realized individuals and/or businesses rely on attorneys to solve problems and guide them through their most stressful and difficult times. He truly enjoys working with these businesses and individuals and says that it is rewarding to be able to help guide them through our incredibly complex legal system.

His favorite part of KZV was the life-long relationships and bonds that he developed with his classmates. Additionally, he says that KZV has the best teachers and that every teacher at KZV genuinely cares, loves, and looks after the best interest of every single student.
