KZV is the only full-time Armenian-American school in Northern California. Founded in San Francisco in 1980, KZV is a community-supported school including preschool, elementary and middle school, administered under the auspices of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, KZV meets the academic standards and framework adopted by the California Department of Education for Kindergarten through Eighth grades, and its preschool is a state-licensed pre-kindergarten program. At KZV students are educated through a bilingual curriculum, offering a challenging and competitive academic program, which strives to recognize each student as a unique individual with particular talents and abilities.
